Oster Security Group brings 15+ years of field-tested experience to organizations that take safety seriously but don't have a full security department behind them. We build practical programs that fit your environment, your people, and your budget.
From threat assessments to full training program development, we deliver practical, scalable solutions built around how your organization actually operates — not how a framework assumes it does.
Design and build of comprehensive security programs tailored to your organization's risk profile, culture, and operational environment. Built to last, not to check a box.
Custom curricula for security personnel and general workforce populations, including de-escalation, use of force, active threat response, and trauma-informed approaches.
Systematic evaluation of physical vulnerabilities, operational gaps, and threat vectors — with prioritized remediation roadmaps your team can act on immediately.
Audit and revision of existing security policies against current standards, regulatory requirements, and operational realities. We find the gaps before an incident does.
Emergency response plans, tabletop exercises, and drill programs designed to build muscle memory before an incident occurs — not a binder that sits on a shelf.
Hands-on advisory for security leaders navigating program buildout, organizational change, or board-level safety conversations. A strategic partner who has built it before.
We work with organizations that take the safety of their people seriously but don't always have the internal resources to build a program from scratch. Healthcare, schools, nonprofits, faith communities, and small to mid-size businesses — if you're responsible for the people in your building, we can help.
From community hospitals to specialty clinics. We understand the intersection of patient care, regulatory compliance, and workforce violence prevention in ways most consultants don't.
K-12 schools, private academies, and educational campuses that need security programs built around the unique environment of learning — protecting students and staff without turning schools into fortresses.
Nonprofits, shelters, community organizations, and social service agencies that serve vulnerable populations and often face elevated risk with limited security infrastructure or budget.
Churches, mosques, synagogues, and other faith communities that want to protect their congregations without sacrificing the open, welcoming environment that defines them.
Growing businesses that have outgrown ad hoc security practices but aren't ready for a full-time security director. We provide the expertise without the overhead.
Oster Security Group was founded by Daniel Oster, a Milwaukee-based security and public safety professional with 15+ years of experience across law enforcement, aviation security, healthcare security, and large-scale training program development.
Daniel spent a decade in law enforcement — including aviation law enforcement, a specialized field requiring a distinct combination of regulatory knowledge, threat assessment, and operational precision in one of the most scrutinized security environments in the world. He later moved into the private sector, where he built security training programs from the ground up for a large pediatric healthcare organization and one of the largest healthcare systems in the United States.
His training background spans defensive tactics, crisis intervention, use of force, and professional communications — giving him a rare combination of technical instruction expertise and the behavioral foundation that makes training actually stick in high-pressure environments.
Every engagement starts with listening. We don't apply templates. We build solutions that fit the specific people, spaces, and pressures your organization faces.
Our work is grounded in direct operational experience, not theoretical frameworks. Every recommendation we make is something we've seen work — or seen fail — in the field.
Security programs fail when they ignore human behavior. Our methodologies are built around how people actually respond under stress, not how policy assumes they will.
We tell clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. Clear assessments and honest recommendations are the foundation of every engagement — and the reason clients bring us back.
We don't build dependency. Every program, policy, and training framework we develop is designed so your team can own it and sustain it long after the engagement ends.
Whether you're building a security program from scratch, stress-testing an existing one, or navigating a specific challenge — we're glad to have a conversation. No pressure, no pitch deck.
